Pride Poem
by Anthony Moore
Pride goes before the fall
My knowledge of it all
Is incomparable
To the Almighty God
Who am I to puff up myself
Be exalted to a place that I’ve never dwelt?
For
the upper echelon of power and wealth
Could never make it to that point without
the Lord’s help
There
are those who search for fame greedily
But those faithful unto Him are in a position
of Humility
Traditions they forever keep of a deity forever deep;
Ever living; give God praise while worshipping at Jesus feet
Until we meet again, we must learn to better demonstrate
The
capability to show respect in order to be great
All desire honor, but often,
no one reserves to wait;
Thus you cannot reach the prestige without first
having the patience
No need
to be complacent, obnoxious or anxious
In a mental state stuck on success without
failure
Life has its ups and downs, in which you’ll need a personal
Saviour
Let Christ lift you up, the bible says he’s greater than the
angels
And
I’m writing this in saying that all have the opportunity
To live righteously, amid
the worldly corruption and scrutiny
Of a lifetime choice you make to have
your Spirit freed
From the wiles of the Devil; make life meaningful for you and me.
